HURRICANE DIANE with Off Night Productions I recently performed in Off Night Productions' HURRICANE DIANE as Carol! Performances ran August 3rd-5th and 10th-12th at the Waldron Auditorium. About the Play: HURRICANE DIANE is a razor-sharp comedy by Madeleine George that brings Dionysus back to Earth in the form of a permaculture gardener with a mission: save the planet, one backyard at a time. The cast featured Sheryl Doades as Diane, Greta Lind as Carol , Valerie C. Kilmer as Beth, Isabelle McNamara-Angel as Renee, and Nicole DeSalle as Pam. I was thrilled to work with Off Night Productions again. This women led and centered theatre company has a wonderful, heartfelt mission and serves the community on every level. STEEL MAGNOLIAS with Off Night Productions Off Night Productions is a new women led and centered Bloomington theatre company. I cannot express how much I support their mission, heart, and professionalism. I performed in their 2024 production of STEEL MAGNOLIAS! STEEL MAGNOLIAS ran August 11th-13th and 18th – 20th at the John Waldron Arts Center Auditorium. The cast featured local actresses Greta Lind (as M'Lynn), Maria Walker (as Clairee), Mikelle Miller (as Shelby), Jillian Hurley (as Annelle), Claire Mahave (as Ouiser), and Maggie Lynn Held (as Truvy). About the play: The contemporary American classic STEEL MAGNOLIAS is a hilarious and touching tale of female friendship, set in the small town of Chinquapin, Louisiana during the late 1980s. Within the glittery, glamorous sanctuary of Truvy’s beauty salon, six of the town’s most beloved women trade witty barbs, sage advice, and support one another through a variety of challenges. The story showcases the immense power of female friendship to keep us laughing and inspire us to overcome loneliness, self-doubt, and life’s most devastating tragedies." |
Rudy Director's Cut
30 years ago, I was in the movie Rudy. The director, David Anspaugh, called recently and asked how I was. I said, “Better than ever.” He responded, “Well, I’ve got a cherry on top for you. Are you sitting down?”...
The new Director’s Cut is released on DVD and select streaming services. Most all my original scenes have been restored. Life continues to come full circle, providing extraordinary gifts. I hope you enjoy this new, wholly realized version! Here is an article by USA Today with more information.
